Ethiopia millet, especially finger millet species (Eleusine coracana) is one of the most important food crops for combating hunger next to sorghum as it thrives well in dry areas with little rain. The origin of finger millet is actually Ethiopia and Uganda. Farmers have practiced traditional agriculture of the crop for several millennia. We then winnow the grains form any remaining debris. The process involves fan-aided pouring of the grains from above into the buckets below. Any light speck is blown away from the grains.
We pack Ethiopia millet soon as the sorting is over. We use jute bags that are hand woven for aeration purposes. We also employ propylene bags that have perforations for letting in air. We provide 50 to 90 kilo packages. We then silo-pack the sacks in layers that can be easy to remove and which solidify the load against damage.
