Schoenoplectiella hotarui (also called Hotaru's Sweet-Grass, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to East Asia. It has a clumping habit and grows to a height of 1m, with thin, arching leaves and small, yellowish-green flower spikes in late summer. It is found in moist meadows, woodland edges and along riverbanks.
