Description
Pouteria macahensis (also called 'Macahen', 'Macahen-Macahen' and 'Macahen-Macahen-Macahen', among many other common names) is a species of flowering tree in the family Sapotaceae. It is native to the Amazon rainforest in Brazil and Peru. It grows in moist, lowland forests and is often found along riverbanks and in swamps.
