Description
Pouteria aristata (also called Caimito, among many other common names) is a species of flowering tree in the Sapotaceae family. It is native to Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, and Venezuela, and is found in tropical and subtropical moist lowland forests. It grows up to 20 m tall, with a trunk diameter of up to 40 cm.
