Description
Silene fortunei (also called Chinese campion, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Caryophyllaceae. It is an annual herb with a stem that grows up to 30 cm tall. It is native to China, Japan, and Korea, and is found in grasslands, meadows, and rocky slopes.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flowers of Silene fortunei are pink to white in color, with four petals and a yellow center. The seeds are small and black, and the seedlings are small and have a single pair of cotyledons.
