Description

Nastus decaryanus (also called Decary's false needlegrass, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to Madagascar. It grows in clumps and has thin, wiry stems with narrow, silvery-green leaves. It is found in dry, open areas, such as grasslands and scrublands.

Uses & Benefits

Nastus decaryanus is used as an ornamental plant and for erosion control. It is also used as a fodder plant for livestock and as a soil conditioner.
