Description

Bromus cabrerensis (also called Cabrer's Brome, among many other common names) is an annual grass that grows up to 1 m tall. It is native to Europe, North Africa, and western Asia, and is found in grasslands, meadows, and disturbed areas. It has awnless glumes, and its leaves are flat and smooth.

Uses & Benefits

Bromus cabrerensis is used as a forage crop for livestock, as well as for erosion control and as a soil stabilizer. It is also used as a cover crop to reduce weed growth and to improve soil fertility. The plant is also used as an ornamental in gardens and parks.
