Cultivation and Propagation

Pennilabium hewittii can be propagated by division or by seed. Division is best done in spring or early summer. Seeds should be sown in spring in a cold frame and will usually germinate in 1 - 3 months at 15°C. When large enough to handle, prick the seedlings out into individual pots and grow them on in the greenhouse for at least their first winter.
