Description

Symphyopappus cuneatus (also called Whitehead, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. It has a basal rosette of leaves and a single stem that can reach up to 1.2 m tall. The leaves are linear to oblanceolate and up to 8 cm long. The flowers are white with yellow centers and are arranged in a corymb. It grows in dry, rocky soils in open woodlands and grasslands.
