Cultivation and Propagation

Artemisia australis can be propagated by seed or division. Seeds should be sown in late winter or early spring in a cold frame or in a seedbed. When they are large enough to handle, prick the seedlings out into individual pots and plant them out in the summer. Division is best carried out in the spring, as the plants come into growth, although it can also be done in the autumn. Larger clumps can be divided using two forks, the divisions being planted out direct into their permanent positions.

Where to Find Artemisia australis

Artemisia australis is native to Australia. It can be found in dry open woodlands and grasslands.
