Description

Allophylus hirtellus (also called Hirsute Allophylus, among many other common names) is a small evergreen shrub or tree, usually growing up to 6 m tall. It is native to tropical South America, and is found in humid forests, from sea level to 1,200 m. It has simple, alternate, elliptic-oblong to obovate leaves, with a smooth margin and a hirsute texture.
