Description

Phylica imberbis (also called the Hairless Phylica, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Phylicaceae family. It is a shrub with a woody base and grows up to 1.5 m tall. It is native to the Western Cape of South Africa and is found in fynbos and renosterveld habitats.

Phylica imberbis is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and as a hedge plant. It is also used for erosion control and as a windbreak.
