Description
Rheum turkestanicum (also called Turkestan Rhubarb, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to East Asia. It has a creeping rhizome and its stems are erect, up to 1 m tall. It is found in moist meadows, riverbanks, and roadsides.

Rheum turkestanicum has small, yellowish-green flowers that are clustered in a dense, rounded head. The seeds are small, dark brown, and have a hard, shiny surface. The seedlings are small and have a single, long, narrow leaf.
