Axonopus fissifolius (also called Carpetgrass, among many other common names) is a perennial grass species native to tropical and subtropical regions of the world. It is a low-growing grass with a creeping habit and short, stiff culms. It is found in moist, shady areas, such as along the edges of forests, in grasslands, and in disturbed areas.
