Ocotea paranaensis (also called Parana Ocotea, among many other common names) is a small to medium-sized tree that grows up to 25 m in height. It is native to South America, found in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina. It prefers moist, well-drained soils in tropical and subtropical climates.
