Description

Ixia curta (also called Short Ixia, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Iridaceae. It is native to South Africa and is found in grasslands and open woodlands. It is a cormous perennial that grows to a height of 15 to 20 cm and has linear, basal leaves. The flowers are yellow with a dark purple spot at the base of the lower petal.
