                            Dianthus serotinus (also called Late Pink, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the carnation family. It is native to Central Asia, from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to western China. It grows in rocky places, on slopes and in meadows, at elevations of 1,500–3,500 m.

                            The Dianthus serotinus flower is a small, pink, five-petaled bloom with a yellow center. The seeds are small, black and round.                             Dianthus serotinus is a short-lived perennial that can be grown from seed. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Propagation is best done by seed, which should be sown in early spring. The plant can also be propagated by division in the spring or fall.
