Cultivation and Propagation

Hieracium turbinellum can be propagated by seed or division. Seeds should be sown in spring in a cold frame and the seedlings transplanted into individual pots when they are large enough to handle. Division can be done in spring or autumn. Larger clumps can be divided using two forks to tease out the smaller divisions. Replant them straight away into individual pots and grow them on in light shade in the greenhouse for at least their first winter.
