Description
Scyphostelma velutinum (also called 'Velvet Scyphostelma', among many other common names) is a small, perennial, evergreen shrub native to South America. It has small, glossy, dark green leaves and small, white flowers. It prefers dry, sunny locations and is often found in rocky areas, scrubland, and coastal areas.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Scyphostelma velutinum has yellow flowers with five petals and five sepals. The seeds are small, black and round. The seedlings have long, narrow leaves.

Scyphostelma velutinum is a perennial herb and can be propagated by seed or division. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and partial shade. It is best grown in a sheltered position in full sun or partial shade.
