Rauvolfia gracilis (also called slender devil's-pepper, among many other common names) is a shrub native to tropical regions of South and Central America. It has a woody stem and grows up to 3 m tall. It has large, ovate leaves and small, white flowers. It is found in moist, shady areas in tropical rainforests.
