Description
Dischidia rosea (also called Rose Dischidia, among many other common names) is a species of epiphytic vine native to India, Indonesia, and the Philippines. It is a succulent, evergreen, perennial climber with thick, fleshy, rose-colored leaves and small, white flowers. It grows in tropical rainforests, on trees and rocks, and in humid, shady areas.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Dischidia rosea has small, pink flowers with five petals and yellow anthers. The seeds are small, dark brown and oval-shaped. The seedlings are small and have a single pair of leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Dischidia rosea is a tropical epiphytic vine that is native to Southeast Asia. It is easy to propagate by stem cuttings. To cultivate, it needs a well-draining soil mix and bright, indirect light. It is also tolerant of some shade. Water regularly, but allow the soil to dry out between waterings.
