Mt Kenya Avocado Farms ( http://www.mtkenyaavocadofarms.com ), a leading Fresh Avocados Exporter based in Kenya seeks to fill the position of a Fresh Produce Business Development Specialist.
Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the heads of various departments.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Developing the fresh produce markets for new and existing customers.
- Ensure product development to customers’ requirement including packaging, specifications and delivery schedules
- Developing and managing the full supply chain including logistics
- Provide leadership to a team of managers in various capacities of the fresh produce chain in order to deliver the required products
- Lead the development of any investment required to develop and grow the business.
- Responsible for optimal use of all resources as well as deliver results as per agreed budgets.
We require a candidate with the following qualifications:
- A graduate from a recognized university preferably with a bias in agri business management;
- Knowledge and experience in fresh produce operations and marketing;
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role at a senior management level;
- Highly developed team working, communication and interpersonal skills
