Description

Symphysodon enervis (also called Blue-Finned Discus, among many other common names) is a species of cichlid fish native to the Amazon River basin in South America. It has an oval-shaped body with a bluish-gray base coloration and a pattern of vertical stripes. It is found in slow-moving rivers, streams, and lakes, as well as flooded forests and flooded savannas.
