Pseudotsuga japonica (also called Japanese Douglas Fir, among many other common names) is a large, evergreen, coniferous tree native to temperate regions of North America. It has a tall, straight trunk and grows up to 40 m tall. The leaves are needle-like and are dark green with lighter green veins. The plant prefers full sun and moist soil.
