Description
Pinus ponderosa (also called Ponderosa Pine, among many other common names) is a species of pine tree native to western North America. It has a conical shape and grows up to 40 m tall. It is found in the western United States, Canada, and Mexico, in the mountains and coastal regions. It grows in a variety of habitats, including dry, rocky slopes, open woodlands, and moist, shady ravines.
