Description

Pinus edulis (also called Pinyon Pine, among many other common names) is a species of pine native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. It is an evergreen coniferous tree growing to 15–20 m tall, with a trunk up to 0.5 m diameter. It has a conical shape with dense branches. It is found in dry, sunny sites, often at the edge of forests.
