Macromitrium speirostichum (also called the 'spiral-stich moss', among many other common names) is a species of moss in the family Hypnaceae. It is a small, yellow-green moss with spiral-stich leaves, and is native to North America, Europe, and Asia. It is found in moist, shady habitats, such as woodlands, meadows, and along streams.

Macromitrium speirostichum has small, white flowers, and its seeds are small and black. Its seedlings have a single leaf and a short stem.
Cultivation and Propagation
