Description
Vanda motesiana (also called Vanda Orchid, among many other common names) is a tropical orchid native to Southeast Asia. It has long, arching stems and large, fragrant flowers in shades of purple, blue, and white. It grows in moist, shady habitats, such as rainforests and riverbanks.

Vanda motesiana has large, star-shaped flowers with yellow sepals and petals and a red lip. Its seeds are small and round, and its seedlings are small and delicate.
Cultivation and Propagation
Vanda motesiana is an epiphytic orchid native to Central America. It can be grown in a pot or mounted on a slab of cork or tree fern. It prefers bright, indirect light and should be kept moist but not wet. Propagation is done by division of the clumps of pseudobulbs.
