                            Stelis caveata (also called Caveata Stelis, among many other common names) is a small epiphytic orchid native to Mexico, Central America, and South America. It has a single, thin, erect stem with a single, thin, erect leaf. It grows in moist, shady forests and on the branches of trees.

                            Stelis caveata has small, yellowish-green flowers with a short, curved spur. The seeds are small, round and black. The seedlings are small and dark green.

                            Stelis caveata is a tropical orchid that can be propagated by division. Division should be done in spring or summer, with each division containing at least one stem and root system.
