Selenipedium aequinoctiale (also called ‘Selenipedium’, among many other common names) is a species of palm tree in the family Arecaceae. It is native to the Amazon rainforest in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela, where it is found in lowland tropical rainforest habitats. It is a medium-sized palm, growing to a height of 10–20 m (33–66 ft) tall.
