Description

Sarcoglyphis smithianus (also called 'Smith's Mangrove', among many other common names) is a small evergreen tree native to India, Sri Lanka, and the Andaman Islands. It has a dense, conical crown, and its bark is gray-brown and smooth. It grows in tropical and subtropical moist lowland forests, as well as mangrove forests.
