Description

Pelexia ovatifolia (also called False Orchid, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Acanthaceae family. It is a herbaceous, perennial plant, growing up to 1 m tall, with opposite, ovate to lanceolate leaves, up to 10 cm long. It is native to tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas, from Mexico to Argentina, and is found in moist, shady habitats.
