Description
Oncidium lehmannii (also called Leopard Orchid, among many other common names) is a species of orchid native to Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. It is found in tropical and subtropical moist montane forests, at elevations of 1,200–2,000 m. It has a short stem with a single leaf and a spike of several yellow flowers.
Cultivation and Propagation
Oncidium lehmannii can be propagated by division or by seed. It prefers bright, indirect light and should be grown in a well-draining, bark-based potting mix. Water regularly during the growing season and reduce watering during the winter. Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer during the growing season.
