                        Description
                        
                            Neobathiea hirtula (also called 'Hairy Apostasia', among many other common names) is a species of fern native to Madagascar. It is a terrestrial fern with fronds up to 1 m long. It grows in moist, shady areas in rainforest, wet sclerophyll forest and wet schlerophyll woodland.

                            Neobathiea hirtula is an evergreen shrub that grows best in full sun to partial shade. It can be propagated by seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in a warm, moist environment and kept at a temperature of 18-21°C. Cuttings should be taken from semi-ripe wood and rooted in a moist, well-drained soil mix.
