Maxillaria tectasepala (also called Tecta sepala, among many other common names) is an epiphytic orchid that is native to Mexico, Central America, and South America. It has long, narrow leaves and small, yellow flowers. It grows in humid, shady areas.

Maxillaria tectasepala is an epiphytic orchid that is best grown in partial shade and well-drained soil. It can be propagated by division or seed. Divide the clumps in spring or autumn and sow seeds in autumn or spring in a sunny, well-drained location.
