Description
Masdevallia sanchezii (also called Sanchez's Masdevallia, among many other common names) is a small epiphytic orchid with a single, erect, leathery, oblong-lanceolate leaf. It is native to Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela, and is found in montane rainforests at elevations of 1000-2000 m. It is found growing on mossy branches and trunks of trees.

The flower of Masdevallia sanchezii is small and tubular, with a yellowish-green color and a white lip. The seed is a small, round, black seed. The seedling is a small, green, oval-shaped plant.
Cultivation and Propagation
