Description

Masdevallia receptrix (also called Receptrix Masdevallia, among many other common names) is a small epiphytic orchid with a single, erect, leathery, oblong-lanceolate leaf. It is native to Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela, and is found in montane rainforests at elevations of 1000-2000 m. It is found growing on mossy branches and trunks of trees.
