                            Malaxis streptopetala (also called Streptopetala malaxis, among many other common names) is a small terrestrial orchid with a single, thin, erect stem. It has a single, thin, erect leaf and a single, small, white flower.                             The flower of Malaxis streptopetala is a small, greenish-white spathe with a yellow spadix. The seed is a small, round, black seed. The seedlings have long, narrow, pointed leaves.                        
                     
                                
                
                        Cultivation and Propagation
                        
                            Malaxis streptopetala can be propagated by division or tissue culture. It prefers a warm, humid environment with bright indirect light and a well-draining soil mix. Water regularly, but allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Fertilize monthly during the growing season.
