Description
Lepanthes exserta (also called 'Exserted Lepanthes', among many other common names) is a small, epiphytic orchid species with an upright stem and a single leaf. It is native to Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela, and is found in montane rainforests at elevations of 1,000-2,500 m. It grows on trees, rocks, and mossy banks.

The flower of Lepanthes exserta is small, white and has a yellowish-green lip. The seed is small, round and black. The seedlings are small and have a single, long leaf.
Cultivation and Propagation
Lepanthes exserta is a terrestrial orchid that is native to Colombia. It can be grown in a pot or in the ground. It prefers a well-draining, humus-rich soil and partial shade. Propagation is done through division of the rhizomes or by seed. The seeds should be sown on a moist, sterile medium and kept at a temperature of 20-25°C.
