Description
                        
                            Epidendrum subnutans (also called 'Subnutant Epidendrum', among many other common names) is a small to medium-sized epiphytic orchid with a creeping rhizome and short stems. It is found in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Brazil. It grows in wet montane forests at elevations of 600-1800 meters.                        
                     
                                
                                    
                        Cultivation and Propagation
                        
                            Epidendrum subnutans is a terrestrial orchid native to Central and South America. It prefers a warm, humid climate with bright, indirect sunlight. It should be grown in a well-drained, acidic soil mix and watered regularly. Propagation is done by division of the rhizomes.
