                            Epidendrum lima (also called 'Lima Reedstem', among many other common names) is a species of orchid native to Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador. It is found growing in wet forests, often in shady areas, at elevations of 500-2000 m.

                            Epidendrum lima is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and as a cut flower.                         Cultivation and Propagation
                        
                            Epidendrum lima is an epiphytic orchid that can reach up to 1 m in height. It is best grown in a bright, humid environment with indirect sunlight. Propagation is usually done by division or by seed. Division should be done in the spring or summer and the divisions should be planted in a well-draining medium. Seeds should be sown in a moist, well-draining medium and kept at a temperature of 25-30°C.
