                        Description
                        
                            Epidendrum ancistronum (also called 'Ancistron Epidendrum' and 'Tall Epidendrum', among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Orchidaceae family. It is an epiphytic or lithophytic herb that typically grows to a height of 20–30 cm. It is native to India, and is found in tropical and subtropical moist forests.

                            Epidendrum ancistronum is used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat fever, headache, and abdominal pain.                             The flower of Epidendrum ancistronum is yellow and tubular with a long spur.                             Epidendrum ancistronum is a slow-growing, epiphytic orchid that can reach a height of about 8 inches. It is best grown in partial shade in moist, well-drained soil.
