                            Encyclia havanensis (also called the Havana encyclia, among many other common names) is a small, epiphytic orchid native to Central and South America. It has a thin, branching stem and small, oval-shaped leaves. It is typically found growing on trees in tropical and subtropical forests.

                            Encyclia havanensis is a tropical orchid that is best grown in a warm, humid environment. It prefers a well-drained, humus-rich soil and should be grown in a sunny or partially shaded location. Propagation is best done by division of the clumps or by seed. Seeds should be sown in spring in a warm, moist environment and kept at a temperature of around 20°C (68°F).
