Description
Dendrobium xylophyllum (also called 'Xylophyllum' and 'Xylophyllum Dendrobium', among many other common names) is an epiphytic orchid species native to Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos. It has long, thin stems with many small, white flowers. It grows in humid, tropical forests, often on trees.

Dendrobium xylophyllum is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and parks. It is also used in traditional Chinese medicine for treating fever, cough, and sore throat.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Dendrobium xylophyllum has white, star-shaped flowers with yellow centers. The flowers are borne on short, erect stems. The seed is small and round, and the seedlings are small and delicate.
Cultivation and Propagation
Dendrobium xylophyllum can be propagated by division or by seed. It prefers bright light and warm temperatures, and should be grown in a well-draining medium such as bark or sphagnum moss. Water regularly, but allow the medium to dry out between waterings.
