Dendrobium mindanaense (also called Mindanao Dendrobium, among many other common names) is an epiphytic orchid species native to the Philippines. It has thin, cylindrical pseudobulbs, each with a single, leathery leaf. The flowers are white with purple stripes, and the plant is found in humid, tropical forests at elevations of up to 1000 meters.
Cultivation and Propagation
Dendrobium mindanaense can be propagated by division or by stem cuttings. It prefers a warm to hot climate with bright light and good air circulation. It should be grown in a well-draining medium, such as bark or sphagnum moss, and watered regularly. Fertilize every two weeks during the growing season with a balanced fertilizer.
