Description
Dendrobium micronephelium (also called 'Micronephelium Dendrobium', among many other common names) is an epiphytic orchid species native to Southeast Asia. It has long, thin, leathery leaves and grows in humid, tropical forests. It is found in India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flower of Dendrobium micronephelium is white with a yellow lip. The seed is round and black. The seedlings are small, green, and have two leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Dendrobium micronephelium can be propagated by division or by stem cuttings. It prefers a warm to hot climate with bright light and good air circulation. It should be grown in a well-draining medium, such as bark or sphagnum moss, and watered regularly. Fertilize every two weeks during the growing season with a balanced fertilizer.
