Description
Cynorkis monadenia (also called Monadenia Cynorkis, among many other common names) is a terrestrial orchid species native to Madagascar. It grows in wet montane forests at elevations of 1000-2000 m. It has a single, erect, slender, leafless stem that is 10-30 cm tall and bears a single, terminal, star-shaped flower.

Cultivation and Propagation
Cynorkis monadenia can be propagated by division or by seed. It prefers a well-drained soil in partial shade. It can also be grown in full sun, but it should be protected from the hottest midday sun. Water regularly and fertilize monthly during the growing season.
