Description
Coryanthes cavalcantei (also called Cavalcante's Coryanthes, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree found in tropical regions of Central and South America. It is usually found in wet forests, along streams and in other moist habitats.

Coryanthes cavalcantei is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and as a houseplant. It is also used to make herbal tea and in traditional medicine.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Coryanthes cavalcantei has an inflorescence of up to 60 flowers, each with a creamy white to yellowish green color. The flowers have a sweet scent and are pollinated by bees. The seed capsules are round and contain up to 60 seeds. The seedlings are small and have a single, upright stem.
