                        Description
                        
                            Cleistes monantha (also called rosebud orchid, among many other common names) is a species of orchid native to North and South America. It is a terrestrial orchid growing to 0.2–0.5 m tall, with leaves 5–15 cm long and 1–2 cm broad. It is found in a wide range of habitats, from dry to moist soils, from sea level to mountains, and from grassland to woodland.
