                            Cleistes aphylla (also called leafless cleistes, among many other common names) is a species of orchid native to the United States. It is a terrestrial orchid with a single, erect stem. The leaves are lance-shaped and have pointed tips. It is found in dry, sandy soils and is common in the southeastern United States.
